2019 marked one of the most pivotal moments in my career. For 15 years, I was forced into being a digital artist due to a debilitating allergy to all traditional mediums. During this time, I received my first diagnosis of MCAS (and Ehlers Danlos in 2021). With the help of medications, I found stability and ventured into using my first real medium: watercolor and later transitioned to colored pencils. However, I quickly realized it was like starting over as an artist and I grappled with my work and identity.

During this transition,  I launched a community-based Portrait Project, inviting the community to join me to paticipate in my transition by painting them Additionally, I collaborated with my partner Michael de Vena on the Sacred Fauna Project.
